DREAMBOAT WILLY'S ONLINE DATE

Britain's favourite 'people's website' finds Prince William a birthday date.

He may be second in line to the throne, but there are two ways in which Prince William is just like a lot of people his age - he's online, and he's looking for love. But the folks at one of Britain's favourite websites are worried he might be looking in all the wrong places.

So ahead of the Prince's 25th birthday on Thursday (21st June) Friends Reunited has done all the hard work for him and put the full resources of its dating computer into picking some perfect matches from among Britain's eligible young beauties.

Each of the women has been scientifically judged by Friends Reunited's state of the art dating technology to be a top-notch match for His Royal Highness.

William has a profile on Friends Reunited Dating which records that at school he was "nicknamed 'Dreamboat Willy' and with my initials being W.O.W, I hope I'm not setting your expectations too high!"

Among those picked by the dating site as perfect matches is one young woman who claims to have made a million by the age of 21, and another who already claims to have royal connections.

The candidates don't come more ideal than Natasha Turner, a 29-year-old blond. She already lives in Lanelli - an ideal location for a potential paramour to a member of the House of Wales. She also has a job working in animal physiology, and describes herself as a "millionaires".

Natasha also has a passion for riding fast motorbikes, which would no doubt appeal to Prince William's notorious adrenalin-junkie streak. When questioned by Friends Reunited Dating on how she felt about being matched with Prince William by the computer, she suggested holding a date "on a beach, with two crazy ex-race horses at sunset. I'd say 'race you' and at the end, vintage champagne and strawberries would be freshly cooled."

Meanwhile, Annabelle Cadman, a 25-year-old commercial administrator from Kent, says she was almost a princess. "My father met Princess Anne opening Folkestone Sports Centre. He even asked her out on a date. She said no!"

As a first date Annabelle suggested a walk around nearby Saltwood Castle - presumably because if William really liked her, they might buy it as a starter-home. However, she said she might find it difficult dealing with all the female attention heaped upon one of the world's most photographed young bachelors.

Perhaps what someone of William's noble status really requires is a sensible girl, who has her feet firmly on the ground. In which case, he could do no better than Kirsty Thompson, 25, from Rotherham. Concerned about the logistics of a relationship with Prince William, she said, "I think the commute from up north might be a bit of a problem. Maybe I could borrow the Queen's helicopter to get there and back?"

But in the case of Joanna Wassell, a 23-year-old secretary from the West Midlands, it could all be a case of history repeating itself. The horse-loving brunette said, "I don't think I'd like the cameras following me everywhere." And we all know what happened to the last of William's girlfriends to say that!

Full profiles and interviews of the potential matches are available on request.
